What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we receive the details you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number, and, if you give them, your company, suburb, the type of enquiry and your message. We do not ask for anything else, and there are no accounts to create.

Like every website, our hosting provider records routine technical information when pages are requested, such as the address of the device making the request and the page it asked for. We use that only to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to quote, to arrange a showroom visit or delivery, and to keep a record of our dealings with you. If you ask to open a trade account we use them to set that up. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Who receives it

Enquiries are emailed to Valterra Stone and handled by our team. The email passes through our website host and our email provider on the way, as any email does. We pass your details to a stonemason or fabricator only if you ask us to put you in touch, and to a carrier only to deliver stone to you. We may be required to disclose information where the law requires it.

Services this site uses

The map on the Contact page is provided by Google Maps. When your browser loads it, Google receives the request, including your device’s address, under Google’s privacy policy. The site is hosted for us by a commercial web host. Website enquiries are emailed to us rather than stored on the website, and we do not run analytics, advertising or social media tracking on this site.

Cookies and browser storage

Valterra Stone does not set cookies of its own. The Google Maps embed on the Contact page may set Google’s cookies when it loads. If you use the “Add to enquiry list” button on a product page, the list is saved in your own browser’s storage on your device so it is there when you come back; it is never sent to us until you choose to enquire, and you can clear it by clearing your browser data.

Access, correction and removal

You can ask us at any time what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email adriana@valterrastone.com.au or call 0407 299 931 and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
